Meg + Grady’s Lowndes Grove Wedding

We’re so excited to share Meg + Grady’s wedding at Lowndes Grove on the blog tonight because it was such a beautiful, sweet, sentimental and just plain magical day, filled with gorgeous style and lots of tradition!!! I mean, can we talk about that oversized and amazing satin bow on the back of Meg’s Modern Trousseau wedding gown for instance?! And it was HER idea to add it to her wedding gown!! #Genius! … but shoot, with a hubby who owns a clothing store, should we really be all that surprised that they would look so perfectly put together on their wedding day?! Being that Meg is Irish, it was also perfectly fitting that they had a St Patrick’s Day wedding, with special guests who arrived mid reception and became an aspect of Meg & Grady’s wedding that we know will be talked about for generations! Plus they had a traditional bagpipe player and Meg continued a tradition that’s been passed down for generations on her side of the family and carried a beautiful vintage prayer book down the aisle! The tradition originated in Northern Ireland and carrying this heirloom prayer book was a way for a bride to honor her family. Even Grace Kelly carried a little white Bible covered in flowers down the aisle at her wedding to the Prince of Monaco. How awesome is that?! I just thought it was SO beautiful and such a cool idea! And of course, Jacqueline of Sweetgrass Social designed a gorgeous, ivory, green and gold, garden inspired reception for Meg & Grady and their 165 guests to enjoy!
